What is acrylic material

Acrylic, also known as PMMA or plexiglass, is an important plastic polymer material developed earlier. It has good transparency, chemical stability, weather resistance, easy dyeing, easy processing and beautiful appearance. It is widely used in the construction industry. Plexiglass products can generally be divided into pouring plate, extrusion plate and molding plastic.

Acrylic plate has good processability, which can be either hot formed or machined. Transparent acrylic plate has light transmittance comparable to glass, but its density is only half of that of glass. In addition, it is not as fragile as glass. Even if it is damaged, it will not form sharp fragments like glass.

The wear resistance of acrylic plate is close to that of aluminum, with good stability and resistance to corrosion of various chemicals. Acrylic board has good printability and sprayability. Using appropriate printing and spraying processes can give acrylic products an ideal surface decoration effect.
